Testimonies
By Ronnie McKelvie
I was born in Glasgow to non-Christian parents. However, they sent me, along with my brothers, to Sunday-school every week. I joined the Boys Brigade when I was eight and stayed until I was seventeen. During my last year I was appointed a junior Officer and participated in teaching various badge-work courses as well as leading a Bible-class group.
At this time, I was being challenged about having a relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. Shortly after this I was invited to see a local screening of the film, ‘A thief in the night.’
After the film I was again challenged to know the Lord personally. That evening, I prayed for the Lord to become my Saviour and direct my life.
I firmly believe God was involved in getting me to the venue that night, as my original plans for that evening were completely different from how things ended up. A couple of months later I was baptised in an open-air service in the cold waters of Loch Lomond.
